Frank's Bio

Frank Obregon, the “Multi-lingual Balladeer” enjoyed his family’s diverse musical tastes and his childhood in a cosmopolitan world city which immersed him in an eclectic spectrum of music. From Tony Bennett, to Nat King Cole, from Antonio Carlos Jobim to Sinatra, the music of Frank’s life, flows through him as a vocalist and masterful song stylist.

In Italian, Portuguese, Spanish or in English, Frank delivers the inner magic of a song, and with his unique style, he gives familiar jazz standards a fresh new sound.

His great range and sultry romanticism spans many musical genre and with either his trio or a twenty piece band, Frank will have you swinging to the lilting refrains of: Volare, Fly Me to the Moon, Perfidia, Garota de Ipanema (The Girl from Ipanema) or Besame Mucho, and countless other hit tunes from his extensive repertoire.

But it’s Frank’s energy, charisma and genuine connection with the music that makes his audiences get up and dance …or makes them fall in love again.

Frank’s vocal talents go beyond singing.

During his radio and television career, Frank has performed as a sought-after voice talent for top brands such as Captain Crunch, JC Penney’s, Encyclopedia Britannica, Ford Motors, Chevy, McDonalds, and Church’s, through his relationships with The Kim Dawson and Talento Hispano agencies.

For The Hispanic Television Network, Frank hosted the TV show “De Todo un Poco” (A Bit Of Everything). Hosting hundreds of ‘Live’ one-hour shows, Frank amply demonstrated his versatility, singing in different languages, and interviewing stars from Hollywood, Broadway and Latin America.

As a producer, Frank created and helmed his own radio show, “Music For a Higher Sensibility,” showcasing new music from bands and artists from countries on every continent, world-wide.

Frank has performed at Harrah’s Casinos, The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, and The Charles W. Eisemann Center for Performing Arts and The Irving Convention Center.

A natural and experienced, MC, Frank has hosted conventions, beauty pageants and has performed upon request for numerous clubs, events and private parties.
